Fishing Report – Jigging Adventure in Los Cabos Departure from San José del Cabo Trip started at 4:00 AM We set out early for a dedicated jigging trip, and the day did not disappoint! We were thrilled to land two solid red snappers and a 17 lb tuna, all caught on jigs and putting up an incredible fight. Throughout the morning, we had several strikes, including a memorable battle with a tuna estimated at 55 lbs that came off the hook after an intense 15-minute fight. While we were still fighting that fish, a striped marlin showed up right next to the boat. We quickly casted a popper, and it struck! The marlin put on a stunning aerial show, jumping several times right in front of us. All action took place using jigging and popping techniques only, making every catch an epic experience. A day full of excitement, close encounters, and unforgettable memories on the water.

On the morning of Sunday, July 13th, we enjoyed an outstanding fishing trip filled with excitement and success. The sea conditions were excellent, making for a smooth and enjoyable experience. Our anglers caught many mahi mahi using a combination of trolling and live bait techniques, including ballyhoo, which proved to be very effective. The abundance of baitfish helped attract plenty of mahi mahi, resulting in a fantastic catch throughout the morning. After the tour, the mahi mahi were expertly prepared in several delicious ways, adding the perfect ending to a memorable day. Overall, it was a wonderful day on the water with great weather, excellent fishing, and lots of mahi mahi action!

Just be aware of the sargassum. It’s really bad getting on the boat. But once you’re on the boat they wash your feet and legs off with water. No big deal for my wife and I. The experience was top notch and we caught so many fish

Nuj Kay Marlin Monroe is a fantastic crew with a great captain and boat!! Go for the bigger boat, avoid cheap rates with smaller boats as you’ll pay for it out on the water. Marlin Monroe was perfect for a family of 4, and kids slept down low in the cabin which also made it well worth it.

Hard to say with one afternoon of fishing but if I had to choose Florida (fished numerous times) All my charters now would be in Cabo. More variety in the same area-you don’t spend 2 hrs of you trip getting to the good spot. I’m curious to give it a few more tries and see what it offers!
